College Prep Camps

SuperCamp's 10-day Senior Forum college prep camps provide high school students entering grades 9 through 12 with college prep skills to help them in school and in life. Specifically, the college prep skills students acquire at SuperCamp encompass both learning skills and life skills.

College Prep Learning Skills
Key learning skills taught in our pre-college camps include: SuperCamp
  • Effective, compelling, and creative writing
  • Improved reading speed and comprehension
  • Efficient study habits, including memorization techniques
  • Test-taking techniques
  • Problem solving strategies
  • SAT prep and ACT prep tactics
  • Critical thinking
Preparing for College with Life Skills
One of the biggest challenges for students heading off to college is making the adjustment to the autonomy of college life. Even straight-A students can struggle when they get to college, simply because they are on their own for the first time. That's why our college prep camps devote an equal amount of time to learning skills and life skills training. We focus on helping students in the following areas:
  • Communicating effectively in team environments
  • Managing relationships
  • Developing interactive leadership skills
  • Character education
  • Time management
  • Being accountable and taking responsibility for their actions
  • Short-and long-term goal setting
  • Dealing with setbacks
College Prep Camp Line-up
SuperCamp SuperCamp offers students a progression of college prep camps.

It starts with our 7-day program for incoming 6th-8th graders, Junior Forum. We believe it's important to lay the college prep foundation of solid learning and life skills early. Clearly, students who attend Junior Forum will reap the benefits of this college prep camp long before they head off to college.

For incoming 9th-12th grade students, we offer our main college prep program, the 10-day Senior Forum program. This camp is ideal for students who have not attended SuperCamp before and, because of the age/grade-specific content, it provides Junior Forum grads with a progressive next-step in their college prep.

Students who have attended Senior Forum once can return on the Leadership Track (“L-Team”). L-Team, which is a part of Senior Forum, helps high school students who are preparing for college by giving them incremental interpersonal, leadership and team training.

Leadership Forum is a 7-day pre-college camp for students who have attended L-Team. Leadership Forum focuses entirely on the life skills component of our college prep curriculum.

For students entering college in the fall and those already in college, we offer Quantum U, an 8-day college prep camp that hones in on learning and life skills geared to the college student. Here, students learn a great deal about managing their lives at college, as well as sharpening an array of learning skills for college-level academics. There is no SuperCamp prerequisite for attending Quantum U.

Kathy, SuperCamp grad parent
"I am a huge fan of SuperCamp. My son Mark went for 4 years. It had a huge impact on his life. SuperCamp helped him understand himself as a learner. It also helped him see himself as successful and a leader. He just finished his first year of college and had his best grades ever. This kid, who struggled with organization, now effectively juggles school, work and several extracurricular activities."
