SuperCamp Site Administrators create camp direction, inspiration, guidance, and tone, and are visible leaders at SuperCamp. They are responsible for the overall administrative and customer service success of SuperCamp, fostering an atmosphere of quality and growth. Job Description

General Responsibilities

Overall Operations

Manage the overall operations of camp and ensure overall safety of campers and staff, including the coordination of team arrival to site in collaboration with the HR Operations Department.

Relationships

Build positive relationships with campers and staff (during breaks, meals, etc.)

Oversee Duties

Serve as the direct supervisor to the Office Coordinator and Logistics Coordinator and oversee the duties and responsibilities of these roles.

Special Events

Coordinate special events which include Outdoor Adventure Day, camp photo, board breaking, Team Leader appreciation, and staff closure.

Emergencies

Respond to emergencies that may arise during camp.

Team

Manage camp discipline as a member of the Decision Team with the Lead Facilitator and Site Counselor.

Social Media

Oversee social media aspects of camp (Facebook posts, picture taking and uploading).

Management

Eliminate/minimize property damage through awareness, training, and overall management of the site.

Customer Service Responsibilities

Manage

Manage the on-site office at the university where the program is being held and ensure that it is properly staffed during hours of operation each day (8 AM – 8 PM).

Communication

Serve as the primary point of contact for parent communication.

Campus

Serve as the liaison between SuperCamp and campus, ensuring that the site contract is followed.

Coverage

Ensure office coverage during camp break(s) with the Office Coordinator and Logistics Coordinator.

QLN Liaison

Manage administrative, business, and public relation functions of camp, and ensure compliance of SuperCamp policies and procedures.

Check-In/Check-Out

Ensure organization of check-in/check-out process, food service, room assignments, and other facility coordination.

Documentation Responsibilities

Financial

Manage the financial functions of site, inclusive of petty cash, budget, expense approvals and reports, SuperCamp reports, and payroll.

Evaluations

Ensure all required evaluations are completed on time.

Camp Breakdown Responsibilities

Coordination

Coordinate camp breakdown with university site contact.

Transportation

Ensure transportation of campers and staff.

Inventory

Manage inventory and shipping/storing supplies for the following summer.

Job Requirements

Qualities

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

Age

25+ years of age.

SuperCamp

Previous SuperCamp experience preferred, but not required.

Availability

Training

Able to attend staff training dates TBD (Oceanside, CA; paid for by QLN)

Summer Availability

Available during summer for placement (June through mid-August 2017)

Development

Staff training focuses on leadership and life skills development. Through relationship building, clarity of expectations, and team alignment, all Decision Team members (Lead Facilitator, Site Administrator, and Site Counselor) are empowered to model expectations and create SuperCamp direction, inspiration, guidance, and tone.

Relationship

Recruitment and Training Cycle

Site Administrators are “People people”. We place high importance on their eligibility and capacity to ensure camp will run smoothly. Many of our Site Administrators have experience in similar fields and, more importantly, all have a natural ability to build personal and professional relationships. Site Administrators receive around 30+ hours of training for their role.

This position is administrative exempt.
