SuperCamp Summer Camp Guide

Students, want to know what 10 days at SuperCamp looks like? You do? Good... because here's your summer camp guide to 10 exciting, fun-filled, dynamic days at the world's greatest learning skills and life skills summer camp.

At SuperCamp you are living in the middle of a positive new story about yourself where friendships and self-learning emerge from every activity. Each day is action-packed from wake-up to lights-out. Academic classes are surrounded with activities that support your new skills, learning and friendships.

Day 1 Welcome. You arrive, check in, meet your roommate and get settled. Team Leaders facilitate large group games and the energy is high. The afternoon session officially begins your journey of learning and discovery. There are introductions of the staff, team-building games, learning activities, a tour of the campus, and dinner with your Team Leaders. The evening continues with a focus on the 8 Keys of Excellence and the day ends with reflection and a journal-writing opportunity.

Day 2 Today you explore the Key about making the most of every moment - This Is It! New traditions are established and as a large group, you participate in team-building activities to prepare for academic classes. In the evening, team members learn more about each other, building trust and understanding of people's differences and similarities.

Day 3 Today opens with SuperCamp traditions and focuses on teamwork, relationships with others, and knowing yourself better. Communication is the focus of the Key of the day, Speak With Good Purpose. These topics support the introduction of the academic rotations: Math Mastery, Creative Thinking and SAT/ACT Preview.

Day 4 In the morning you discover the Key of Ownership - taking responsibility for your actions - then continue with academic rotations. In the afternoon, you continue to build the level of trust with your team. In the evening session, you welcome the outdoor adventure staff and explore safety and expectations.

Day 5 Your Outdoor Adventure Day is a metaphor for life. You'll challenge yourself in a safe physical environment, where your teammates and friends hold your safety lines and cheer you on to success while you navigate high wires and pole climbing that is exhilarating and fun. In the evening, you'll talk about what you learned in the outdoor adventure and participate in Movement Workshop to celebrate the day's achievements.

Day 6 The Key of the day, Failure Leads to Success, is a perfect lead-in to a day of academic rotations including Quantum Study Strategies, Quantum Reading, and Quantum Writing. In the evening you further explore interpersonal relationships.

Day 7 The Key of the day is Integrity. You continue with academic rotations and in the evening you explore your relationship with your parents. (Graduation Day for Leadership Forum)

Day 8 Morning traditions continue, including the Key of Flexibility. You complete the last full day of academic rotations, giving you many tools to apply to all your school subjects. In the evening you are given the opportunity to express yourself through poetry. You'll be inspired and touched by what you feel, write, and hear. (Graduation Day for Quantum U)

Day 9 Today, you review and rehearse your new skills and integrate them into real-life situations so you can take them out and use them at school and home. The afternoon focuses on the Key of the day, Commitment. The primary target is to create a goal, focus on it, and formulate a plan to achieve it. You get to participate in a real-life experience of accomplishment as you overcome your obstacles. In the evening, you have an opportunity to stand before the entire camp and declare your commitment. The day concludes with individual strength acknowledgments as you receive and give accolades to your teammates.

Day 10 Graduation Day is here! For the past ten days, you have been on an incredible learning journey. Now is the time to celebrate your learning and discover the Key of Balance. It is also a day of parting from teammates and other people with whom you've connected, and rejoining family and friends with new thoughts and feelings, skills, and experiences to share.
