Teen Camp Header

Other youth and teen summer camps just can't compare to SuperCamp in terms of how participants gain both learning skills and real world life skills. Whether you're looking at youth summer camps for children ages 9 to 12 or at teen summer camps for kids entering or already in high school, SuperCamp has a program for your child. In fact, we even have a college summer camp program called Quantum U for students entering college in the fall. And we haven't forgotten about the parents either. Our popular Parent Weekend program is our summer camp for parents and it's available at four of our eight college locations in 2008. Learn more about each of our parent, youth and teen summer camps below. Additional information is available on our academic summer camps here.

Teen Summer Camps

Teen Summer Camps Senior Forum is the first and biggest of our four teen summer camps. Our mission is to help participants learn how to make the most of every moment, uncover their unique abilities, and develop greater confidence, while mastering strategies for academic success. The skills campers learn at SuperCamp will help ease school stress, build study skills, improve grades and increase test scores, including the SAT and ACT. Our life skills courses show students ways to discover their strengths, pursue goals, make big decisions, solve problems and resolve conflicts. We focus on self-expression, peer relationships, trust in others and maintaining one's individuality in the world. Campers entering grades 9 through 12 learn new skills that prepare them for the next grade level and the next big step, college. Senior Forum teen summer camps are available at all eight SuperCamp locations across the U.S.

Teen Summer Camps
Leadership Training Team is our teen summer camp available to graduates of Senior Forum. This summer camp program provides students with the opportunity to further develop and enhance leadership, interpersonal, and self-management skills. It also challenges campers to further develop their academic and personal confidence in the areas of:
Communication
Teamwork
Mentoring
Goal setting
Personal motivation
Peer counseling and support
Effective Leadership Styles

Every member of the Leadership Training Team receives more specialized training before and during the program as they assume higher levels of responsibility. They get the chance to serve as a role model for other students through their embodiment of the 8 Keys of Excellence. This leadership training provides a strong foundation for future scholastic work and life experience.

Leadership Summer Camp Leadership Forum is for returning SuperCampers interested in climbing even higher to develop leadership skills. Specifically, it's our teen summer camp for students who have graduated from Leadership Training Team at a Senior Forum SuperCamp and who are going into grades 11, 12, or first-year college. This summer camp program is seven days long and focuses on activities that challenge you to push yourself to your personal edge so that your style, habits, and values are more fully realized.

An incredible Ultra Ropes Course, Team Leaders specially trained in advanced leadership skills, and events that let participants immediately put their new skills into action are just a couple of the highlights of Leadership Forum. Leadership Forum is limited to 80 campers. Among teen summer camps, it is the ultimate individualized experience.

College Prep Summer Camps Students graduating from high school this year and moving on to begin a college career in the fall have an opportunity to gain a unique set of skills to help them prepare for college. College life is different. It can be fragmented, intense and sometimes overwhelming: large classes, unstructured time, professors who all think their course is a student's one and only priority. In just eight days at Quantum U, participants learn how to manage their time, energy, and finances. They gain added focus and confidence and they elevate their communication, presentation, study, writing, and reading skills. Bottom line - Quantum U is the teen summer camp that gets students college ready!

Early and Pre-Teen Summer Camps

Kids Summer Camps Junior high school is a challenging experience. Classes and teachers can become more demanding. Students often find themselves struggling to find out who they are, what they're good at and what group of friends they fit in with. At SuperCamp's Junior Forum summer camp, kids entering grades 6 to 8 discover their individual learning styles and develop skills for dealing with a heavier academic schedule. They also learn how to participate in "real-life" activities that enable them to make responsible choices and win the support, understanding and guidance of teachers and parents. And, of course, they will make friendships with students from across the country and the world, discover their talents and strengths and prepare for their transition into high school. It's also a great bridge into our Senior Forum teen summer camps, where Junior Forum grads can build upon their learning and life skills fundamentals.

Youth Summer Camps Youth Forum is a fun summer camp for children entering grades 4 and 5 in the fall. Kids have fun learning with other kids during games, with music and through other activities. Frequent team activities, such as ropes course games, teach participants how to use teamwork and trust in each other. Throughout the seven-day Youth Forum, our team leaders do a great job in helping each camper feel safe and feel good about themselves, while building their confidence on a daily basis with several mini-success moments. Plus, there's free time for activities and sports or to just relax and listen to music.

Summary

So, as you can see, with our range of pre-teen and teen summer camps, we have a summer enrichment program for your son or daughter. In addition to the wealth of information you will find throughout the website about our academic summer camps, you can send for a brochure and DVD and you can call one of our SuperCamp consultants at 800-285-3276. We do encourage you to act soon as several of our sessions overbooked last summer, leaving over 200 kids on the waiting list, unable to get into the camp of their choice.

The same goes for you, parents. If you’re thinking about signing up for Parent Weekend, we take a limited number of parents in each of the four camps we run, so you don’t want to miss out. Here’s what a couple of parents who’ve attended had to say. "It is an absolute must, life-changing experience. You’ll walk away a changed person,” said Morgan Brawner who went to Parent Weekend at Wake Forest University last summer. And Kimberly Spiro-Gaw, who attended Parent Weekend at Cornell in 2007, says, “Jump in and plan on getting wet. Enjoy the ride because it is mapping our children’s future as well as our own."
