UCLA Summer Camps
Our UCLA summer camps include a freshman orientation camp for students preparing for college called Quantum U and a UCLA college camp for students who have already been a part of SuperCamp's L-Team student leadership program, known as Leadership Forum.
UCLA College Camp
While we sometimes call Quantum U a freshman orientation camp, it's actually open to all college students, including students who are transferring into a four-year school from a junior college.
Quantum U is ideal for students preparing for college. Our 8-day UCLA college camp covers both learning skills and life skills. The learning skills span such areas as critical thinking, problem solving, test preparation, studying and note-taking techniques, creative writing and reading effectiveness – all at the college level.
As a freshman orientation camp, our UCLA summer camp goes in-depth with students on the subject of life skills. The challenge of managing one's life at college is significant, particularly for freshmen who have to quickly learn how to balance class schedules, study time, extra-curricular pursuits, socializing and downtime. It's not easy, which is why our UCLA college camps are so important and helpful.
Another aspect of college life for students preparing for college is money management. Our experienced facilitators at Quantum U address this important issue, as well. In addition, they talk about managing one's health, from eating well and finding time for exercise to not overindulging in the partying side of college life.
These are all topics parents try to discuss with their high school grads as part of a freshman orientation, but parents tell us that it's far more effective when their kids hear it from our Quantum U staff members.
UCLA Student Leadership Program
While students who have not participated in SuperCamp's Leadership Track program aren't eligible for our student leadership program, Leadership Forum, it bears mentioning. This 8-day program focuses entirely on life and leadership skills. This UCLA summer camp program includes a leadership and team-building outdoor adventure day and ropes course. Team Leaders in this student leadership program are specially trained in advanced leadership skills.
Parents of high school students can look into our Senior Forum program, which leads into the Leadership Track and, in turn, into Leadership Forum.
