SuperCamp NewsSuperCamp president, Bobbi DePorter, talked about the dramatic growth in the popularity of academic summer camps and SuperCamp, in particular, in an interview with FOX6 News in San Diego on April 23rd. Bobbi said that SuperCamp’s milestone 50,000th student enrollment reflects the positive results so many kids have experienced from attending our summer camps and the equally positive word-of-mouth testimonials parents of graduates have shared with other parents.Jamie Franks of San Diego, California became SuperCamps's 50,000th student when her parents, Tim and Nancy, registered her on March 31st for a Senior Forum camp at Cal State San Marcos this summer. Teen Summer CampsOur Senior Forum teen summer camps are offered at all eight college locations in the U.S. where SuperCamp is held. In most cases, we have multiple sessions of these teen summer camps per location. Senior Forum fills up very fast, so decide on your preferred location and dates and act on it early. Link to the complete listing of our Senior Forum programs and to our other summer camp programs that are listed below.2008 Summer Camp ProgramsSuperCamp provides four age/grade-specific academic summer camps, including summer camp programs for boys and girls entering grades 4 and 5, one for students going into grades 6-8, our teen summer camps for students starting grades 9-12 and our college boot camp for incoming college freshmen, Quantum U.Youth Forum summer camp for kids entering grades 4-5 in fall 2008Junior Forum summer camp for kids entering grades 6-8Senior Forum summer camp for teens entering grades 9-12Quantum U summer camp for teens entering collegeThere are eight SuperCamp academic summer camp locations at great colleges around the country. Get a complete list of our California summer camps, which include two Southern California summer camps, one at Claremont Colleges in greater Los Angeles and the other at Cal State San Marcos in San Diego. Our Northern California summer camps are once again being held at Stanford, where we offer four sessions of our Senior Forum teen summer camps. In the Northwest, our Washington summer camps are located in Seattle at the University of Washington. A little farther east, our Colorado summer camps at Colorado College in Colorado Springs include our Quantum U and Leadership Forum summer camp programs, as well as Senior Forum and Junior Forum. We're excited to announce that Supercamp has Midwest summer camps at a new location in 2008. Our summer camp programs will be offered at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. We have only one Junior Forum session and one of our teen summer camps offered at Drake this year, so families throughout the midwest should enroll early to ensure a spot at Drake. Once again, we have two academic summer camp locations in the eastern U.S. Our New York summer camps are at Cornell University, our first Ivy League school, where we have added more camps in 2008. And our popular North Carolina summer camps are located at Wake Forest in Winston-Salem.  |
